Built on Courage. Driven by Family.

Celebrating 50 Years of 3G's.

Scroll to Begin

Every company has a beginning.

Ours began long before 3G’s was ever incorporated, before there was an office, a payroll to process, a warehouse to support, or a client to serve. It began with courage.

The story of 3G’s starts with William Stanley Manos Sr., the son of a Greek immigrant who came to America through Ellis Island in 1918 in pursuit of opportunity and a better future for his family. Like countless immigrant families of that era seeking new opportunities in America, the Manolis family eventually shortened their surname to Manos while holding tightly to the values that mattered most; hard work, resilience, integrity, and family.

Born in Portland, Oregon, on January 21, 1923, William grew up during the Great Depression, learning lessons that would shape the rest of his life. He understood early that success was never guaranteed, it was earned through perseverance, discipline, and determination.

When his country was called during World War II, William answered.

"Leaving behind college at Oregon State University, he joined the United States Army Air Forces and trained as a fighter pilot. Flying the P-47 Thunderbolt with the 513th Fighter Squadron, 406th Fighter Group, he supported Allied operations during one of the most pivotal moments in world history. On August 2, 1944, during an attack on the Luftwaffe airfield at Rennes, France, William's aircraft was struck by German anti-aircraft artillery. Forced to bail out, he parachuted into the countryside near Mont Saint-Michel in Normandy, a place renowned for its breathtaking beauty and centuries of history. Narrowly escaping capture, he ultimately found his way back to Allied forces. Most people would have considered that the end of their story."

For William Manos, it was only The Beginning.

He returned to his squadron and continued flying combat missions in service to his country, earning the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with six Oak Leaf Clusters for his bravery and dedication. The same determination that carried him through war would later become the foundation of a family legacy.

After returning home, William built a life rooted in service, leadership, and hard work. He worked for Safeway in National City, learned to drive a truck, became involved with the Teamsters, and developed a deep understanding of labor relations, transportation, unions, and the challenges faced by both employees and employers. Along the way, he met the love of his life, Cleta. Together they built a marriage that lasted 57 years, raised three children, and created something even larger than themselves, a vision for a family business built on helping others succeed.

Year - 1970s

In the early 1970s, William and Cleta launched William S. Manos & Associates, providing labor relations consulting and support to businesses navigating an increasingly complex workforce landscape. William would later serve as a federal arbitrator with the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service for more than two decades, earning a reputation for fairness, expertise, and integrity. In 1973, William S. Manos Jr. joined his father at William S. Manos & Associates, learning firsthand the principles of labor relations, client service, and entrepreneurship that would shape the next generation of the family business. Entrepreneurship quickly became a family endeavor.

Their son, William “Bill” Manos Jr., and daughter Debbie joined in helping grow the family’s businesses, bringing energy, innovation, and a shared commitment to serving clients with excellence.

Then, in 1976, a new chapter began.

Bill Jr. and his wife Cathy founded Three G’s, Inc., building upon the strong foundation established by the first generation while creating a company uniquely their own.

Through changing industries, evolving regulations, economic uncertainty, and decades of workforce transformation,
Three G’s, expanded its expertise to include:

Together, they built both a successful business and a loving family, raising their children, William S. Manos III (Bill) and Ashley, while instilling the values of hard work, integrity, service, and family that had guided generations before them. In 2026, Bill and Cathy celebrate 50 years of marriage, a reflection of the same commitment, perseverance, and partnership that helped shape the success of 3G’s. What started as a labor relations-focused organization grew into a trusted partner for employers throughout California and beyond.

Yet despite the growth, one thing never changed.

People came first.

Clients weren't treated like account numbers.

Employees weren't viewed as transactions.

Relationships mattered.

Trust mattered.

Doing the right thing mattered.

Those values became the cornerstone of 3G’s and helped build relationships that have lasted decades.

Year - 2000

Bill Manos III
CEO & President

After attending the University of Southern California, Bill III joined Three G’s in 2000, beginning his own journey within the family business and spending two decades helping serve clients, support employees, and carry forward the values that had defined the company since its founding.

In 2020

The Third generation proudly stepped forward continuing the family legacy.

Bill Manos III and his wife, Brandi Manos, proudly purchased Three G’s, Inc., carrying forward nearly five decades of family legacy while embracing a vision for the future.

Their decision reflected not only a commitment to preserving everything that had been built by the generations before them, but also a belief in investing in its future for generations yet to come. A refreshed brand identity transformed Three G’s into the modern 3G’s, while the heart of the company and the values it was built upon remained exactly the same.

Today, alongside Partner Kathleen Cox whose remarkable dedication to 3G’s began in 1983 and an exceptional team by their side, Bill and Brandi continue the mission that started generations ago: helping businesses succeed while treating every client with care, respect, loyalty, and gratitude.

As they raise their daughters, Brooklyn and Cali, The fourth generation of the Manos family story is already being written.

Looking back over fifty years,

it is easy to see the milestones.

The businesses
launched.

The clients
served.

The partnerships
built.

The challenges
overcome.

But the true legacy of 3G’s cannot be measured by years alone.

It is measured in earned trust.

In relationships that span generations.

In businesses helped through difficult times

In employees who show up every day committed to excellence.

In a family that never stopped believing that hard work, integrity, and service still matter.

From a young fighter pilot who survived being shot down over France to a thriving fourth-generation family enterprise, the story of 3G’s is ultimately a story about people.

It is a story about courage.

It is a story about family.

It is a story about legacy.

We are equally grateful for the clients who have placed their trust in us many for decades. Your confidence in our team has allowed this family business to grow, evolve, and continue serving the next generation.

It is a responsibility we never take for granted, and we remain deeply committed to earning that trust each and every day.

As we celebrate fifty years, our gratitude begins with our family, but it certainly doesn’t end there. We are profoundly thankful for the remarkable team who has walked alongside us, embracing our values as their own and showing up each day with integrity, dedication, and a genuine heart for serving our clients.

Their unwavering commitment, resilience, and belief in our mission have helped shape the company 3G’s is today.

We firmly believe our legacy continues not because of one family alone, but because of extraordinary people, our team and our clients who have chosen to believe in what 3G’s stands for. Together, we have built relationships that extend far beyond business and have created a legacy rooted in trust, service, and shared purpose.

After
50 incredible years,
We believe the best chapters are still ahead.

After 50 incredible years, We believe the best chapters are still ahead.

We are not the beginning of the story.

We are not the end of the story.

We are simply the generation entrusted with carrying it forward.

Here's to the next 50 years.

Because a legacy isn't something you receive.

It's something you choose to protect.

With heartfelt gratitude,

The Manos Family
